I've been reflecting on the fact that I will be turning 25 this year. That is a quarter of a century, and more than likely a quarter of my life. I am not a child anymore. There is no more "I can do that when I'm an adult" or "I will act that way when I'm older". This is now. I no longer think that my few qualities are enough to carry me through my adult life. I'm not very good at this, but I'm trying my hardest. To my constant frustration, I never seem to have the energy and stamina to accomplish many things in a day that everyone else seems to be perfectly capable of doing in just a few hours. When I try to live like a 'normal' person and push past the fatigue, I become very ill. This makes me feel like a failure, or that there is something really wrong with me, but I have made some progress lately in the fact that I have been attending school for two quarters and have been getting excellent grades. So it looks like I'll be moving again in a few months. Not far....pretty much next door actually. My parents bought a crumbling cottage in our neighborhood a few years back. They're finally going to fix it up and want me to live there as a sort of groundskeeper/caretaker. I. AM. STOKED! It's right on the lake so I will be able to sit out on the back deck in the evenings and look out on to the water....or maybe go sailing in the mornings in our little boat. I can't wait!
